The last petal…

Blossom was dreaming of how she came into the world…she had a memory clip running in her mind from the day she was fully grown flaunting her enticing fragrance which could keep no one not wanting her. Her vivacious beauty left everyone admiring and caught countless glances at her. It was a sunny day; breeze equally coexisted making the weather suitable enough for anyone to fall in love. Ray was just one of the victims that day. He was walking down the lane whistling some little known song. His eyes filled with spark the very moment he saw her. He couldn’t stop admiring her like everyone did. It was for the first time Ray wanted something so badly. He wanted her. He searched for his wallet and found he had 25 cents less. The plank read ‘take home in 2 dollars’. This time beauty bore some cost.  With a puppy face he started to convince the shopkeeper to let him have her in a dollar and 50 cents for he also wanted to buy a red shinny ribbon for her. Seeing Ray’s continuous efforts shopkeeper couldn’t refuse the offer he made. Blossom, the rose with her velvet soft crimson red petals and her mesmerising smell was finally Ray’s. Ray had bought her for his love which he never had courage to confess. He thought Blossom would make things work and start yet another story…..

Blossom was dreaming…. when she was found in a book today. Years passed, she was still so beautiful with just a petal on and her enticing fragrance was now coming from the book. The book Ray’s daughter Riya had.
